Nine-year-old Suraiya, born with a below-knee congenital amputation, used to hop and depend on her father to reach school. Her life changed after receiving a prosthetic limb from CRP’s Prosthetics and Orthotics Department. Although the adjustment was initially challenging, Suraiya’s determination and the team’s support helped her learn to walk confidently within just seven days. Today, Suraiya walks independently both indoors and outdoors and is ready to return to school with renewed confidence. Her transformation stands as an inspiring example of resilience and a testament to CRP’s commitment to empowering children with disabilities through accessible rehabilitation and assistive technology.
