World Spinal Cord Injury (SCI) Day 2025

World Spinal Cord Injury (SCI) Day 2025 is observed by CRP with the theme “Fall Prevention - Spinal Cord Protection” across its 10 centres in Bangladesh to raise awareness. The event took place at CRP Savar (Head Office) on 9 September 2025, where Md. Saidur Rahman Khan, Director General (Additional Secretary) of the Department of Social Service, MoSW, attended as the Chief Guest. Dr. Maruf Ahmed Mridul, Secretary of the National Paralympic Committee of Bangladesh, was the Guest of Honor, and K. M. Shahiduzzaman, Upazila Social Service Officer (USSO) of Savar, was the Special Guest. The celebration began in the morning with a rally involving patients, staff, and students of CRP. The Executive Director of CRP, Dr. Mohammad Sohrab Hossain, presided over a discussion session that featured a presentation on SCI, experiences shared by current and former SCI patients, valuable remarks from guests, a prize-giving ceremony for the sports competition winners, and a cultural event attended by patients and staff.
